Notepad ++ is a free (as in “free speech” and in “free beer”) source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports multiple languages. Notepad++ 5.5 running in the MS Windows environment is to use the GPL.

Based on a powerful editing component Scintilla, Notepad + + is written in C + + and uses pure Win32 API and STL, the higher execution speed and smaller size ensures program.
